Malina Moye has dropped her modern-day blues rock opus “F.I.N.E (F*ck’d up, Insecure, Neurotic, and Emotionally unstable)” accompanied by a singular music video.
Directed by Marc Fusco (The Samuel Challenge, Saving Personal Ryan) the movie takes us on a visible journey via America as Moye leads the way in which with fuzz-laden blues guitar licks.
“Malina is likely one of the world’s nice up to date musicians and her melodies are so extremely inviting,” says Fusco. “She all the time conjures poignant tales in her songs, even in a gushing instrumental like ‘F.I.N.E.’ Malina is a real artist.
“I wished the imagery to depict snap photographs of America that inform the story from her perspective. We wish you, the viewer, to truly really feel one thing after you watch.”
The guitar legend’s second single seems forward of her extremely anticipated new album, Soiled (opens in new tab), which drops this Friday, March 17.
An ode to American historical past, “F.I.N.E (F*ck’d up, Insecure, Neurotic, and Emotionally unstable)” was produced by Bjorn ‘Polarbear’ Soderberg (Kendrick Lamar, NEYO, Nikki Sixx) and Moye.
Talking of the track’s title, the guitarist mentioned, “My father would all the time ask me how I’m doing and I’d all the time say, ‘Oh, I am nice.’ He would then reply with ‘I see that you’re nonetheless fucked up, insecure, neurotic, and emotionally unstable.’”
“I imagine all of us should be slightly dysfunctional so as to survive and nobody is ideal. So, I wished to play a track that mirrored the emotional curler coaster journey that’s America – the great and the dangerous, and truthfully the world.
“We simply lived via a world pandemic and your entire world stopped. So actually, are we okay?”
